The background mush is strawberry. Gives me a better appreciation for Strawberry Shortcake... not much she could have done with that weak, seedy pink.
The berries themselves were delicious- local and ripe. Cant ask for more than that. Well, maybe a little creme fraiche on the side. Enough.

This one is for Ivers, who gentley prompted me to get going, again.
I love peonies, right up there on the "favorite flower" list, along with irises, roses, lilies,various weeds. In retrospect, probably every flower is a favorite flower. These have a lovely, papery quality to the petals and an elusive aroma. Yum.
Its been so long since I posted that I had to turn the chaos on my desk upside down to find the cable to the camera. Sad.
