So, is "Cremini" Italian for dirty mushroom?

Favorite (red) sneakers. They've been around the world with me, or at least to Egypt/ Jordan and back. Still red, considering how dusty those places are, a miracle. Trying to find another pair, but Im not sure Saucony is still making them. They have the MOST boring colors now. Who needs navy feet, when you can have red?

This is an update on "Little Alice" the tomato plant. She's growing like crazy; I saw two teeny, embryonic tomatoes on her, in addition to more blossoms. I cant imagine how this can exist. It's windy as can be on that balcony. Little Alice has a powerful thirst.

Trader Joe's Kettle Corn has to be one of the most addictive substances on earth. The crack cocaine of the snack aisle.

Mass Ave Bridge
I have GOT to figure out how to photograph these things so that the color is semi-decent.

This is a poor excuse for an african violet. On the other hand, Im getting new buds (didnt kill it), and Im dog tired and can barely do this for today.

This is the view from my desk. And I've been painting produce?

Asparagus, going away
I think this is starting to be as much about the drawing as my (in)ability to photograph it with a fair degree of verisimilitude.

The best of the lot of the kitchen window african violets. The summer morning sun is too much for them. Have to move them at night and replace on the window after the sun moves off. Needy, needy plants.

Nice old worn out wallet. Retired to where ever old leather goods go. The new kid in town is pink.
Got the paper looking white and the color isnt bad. What did I do right?

An ear of corn. Now the paper is pinkish, but the color is better. Why cant it be both? This is water based pastels, rather than paint. A bit less anemic.

Queen Anne cheeries twins. Yum. and expensive.
OK, now I got the paper looking white, but it's washed out some of the color, even with "enchancement." Problems, problems.

This is Little Alice, my tomato plant. Blossoms! I cant believe it. Im a misery of a gardener, and Little Alice sits on my balcony which experiences regular gale force winds. Is there a yellow plum tomato in my future? More later.

Skewed view of my favorite bridge. Although the colors didnt exactly look like this in the original. But what can you do with limited editing skills and an iffy camera?

Baby Bok Choy bought at the new Farmer's Market at Prudential. Tasty.
