It's been a while and this is just a text post.
So I was out walking along the Charles. I saw two idiots from MIT ( how did I know this? their friends along the shore) in a homemade boat. The vessel was constructed of empty water cooler jugs (Polar Springs to be exact). Two fools in the boat, with one paddle, or it might have been a shovel. The water is cold, cold, cold. And hypothermia is very real. These kids were bouncing around in shirtsleeves, on a windy, cold day. All I could think of was their parents, hearing that their child had drowned, of monumental stupidity.

Snudda is here! Actually she arrived yesterday in a driving rainstorm. Went back today, got her down from her rack, seven high, unwrapped the plastic, took off yards and yards of bubble wrap... enough to send a 4 yr old in paroxyms of joy. And then reality reared it's head. And I asked the lovely boatman, Seth, to please help. And he most graciously did. The wing rigger is on, I lowered the shoes and Im ready to row. Now all I need is a decent, i.e. non-rainy, non-windy, day. Tucked her back up onto the rack. I'll never be able to tie this boat down. I cant even reach it with the stairs. Im not as tall as I used to be.

Last of the black grapes. Juicy, but not as flavorful as one might expect. Ah... watching all those foodie TV shows has its repercussions. Snarky food comments.
Knee scrape is getting better, now it itches like the devil. Still a tad oozy, and sore. Kneeling is a thing of the past. Im sure I will look delightful at the CBC Gala tomorrow. But then again, who else would better understand scrapes, blisters, black and blues?
