200 Miles

Two hundred miles as of today. Not a big deal to most, but it was my season's goal given my wonky shoulder. Higher goal for next year.
The oars are painted and a pleasure to use.

Last Grape Standing

Went to the studio (always a plus) and started a new painting (an even bigger plus).
The Red Sox are in the process of losing their third in a row to the Yankees. I'd rather watch a third rate movie, and I am... a Keanu Reeves oeuvre.

Fall Plantings

Pulled the impatiens and replaced them with embryonic yellow mums. Hope these do better. The sweet potato vine is going gangbusters, so I left it.
195 miles on the river as of this morning. But who's counting?

Cobb Salad a la Cape Cod

A lovely day on the Cape and lunch with friends. I like to eat my Cobb salad one row at a time, rather than mushing it together.

A "Personal" Watermelon

Im not sure I'd throw this "personal" sized fruit into my bag, but it's cute as can be. And since it's red, it's mine alone to eat.
Forty-first anniversary. Absolutely surreal, given that I barely feel 41, much less married for that long.

Good News, Bad News

As I was doing this peach the service guy from Volvo called. Seems as if the almost 12 year old car is biting the dust. Wont pass inspection next month without a considerable investment. It was a "peach" of a car. Im not sure which is the good or bad news. Certainly welcome a new car, hate paying for it. Have to change my car-slob ways and maintain a certain level of neatness, at least for a few years.

Oh! Rapturous Day!

Oh! My oars came two days ago!! A year of thinking about it, two months after ordering them, shipping from Australia, they came to me. A bit of assembly and I got them wet yesterday. Sooooo sweet. It may not be my own boat, I need rack space for that, but these are mine, available whenever I feel like it. And my callouses match the handle.

Tootsies

Im really getting to dislike this yellowish moleskine paper. Gotta find a better alternative.

Doctor's Office

These are the stacks and stacks of magazines in the doctor's office. I didnt have enough time to get them all; a doctor who is sort of on time and too many magazines. Actually, it could be a deconstructed loaf of bread, too.

Tom Brady's roof

It's a dreary morning, and Im at odds and ends. Tom Brady's roof is a view out the window. Mein Gott! The man has enough HVAC equipment up there to heat and cool a small strip mall. Must have five fireplaces, too, judging by the number of flues. Now I know way too much about this man. The roof is more interesting than football, though.

On a Roll

Yowza! I'm two for two.
Watching the Red Sox, eating cherries, making dots, mushing cherry juice into the drawing. It's just your average Sunday.
